Certain lights like energy saving bulbs and fluorescent tubes are made of glass and contain a small amount of mercury and these must be safely disposed of. Local councils will accept such lights if you take them to your local recycling facility. Some councils also take certain lights when they collect your kerbside waste but you should check to see if your council offers this service and what bulbs they will dispose of for you.
Once the bulbs we supply have failed, we recommend you dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way. We suggest you check with your local council to find out what their recycling policies are for LED lighting when you experience any failures.
